I'm dedicating this book to my paternal grandparents, Nikolai and Aneska Savage, who found our "Fishcamp" and lived there, year round for several years, with their families in the early 1940's. I'm writing this, to share with you, the happy memories of living in Fishcamp. Memories full of fun and work. When we lived there as children, it seemed like a lonesome and at times boring place to be. Now I realize there is no place to live that can compare with the peacefulness, serenity and satisfaction of living in "Fishcamp". Even though this book is called "Fishcamp", I'm including in it, other parts of my life in the village of Holy Cross, Alaska and travels on the rivers surrounding the area.
By changing our most important processes and
products, we have already made a big leap forward. This ranges from the
increased use of more sustainable fibers to the use of more
environmentally friendly printing processes to the development of
efficient waste management in our value chain.
