Centuries were to pass before writers, of whatever race, were ashamed to borrow plots and thoughts. This volume one of English verse is a treasure trove! It covers everything from Chaucer to Burns beautifully. The print quality is quite nice too, and I appreciate the classic reprint vibe. Perfect for any literature lover!

Nice but a Bit Dated
I enjoyed reading some of the poems, but the language can be a bit hard to follow at times. The book's layout feels a little old-fashioned, which might not appeal to everyone. Overall, it's a decent collection if you're into historical literature.

Pages Arrived Damaged
I was really excited about this classic reprint, but unfortunately, some pages were bent when it arrived. It’s frustrating because I wanted to enjoy the poetry without any distractions. Might try to exchange it for a better copy.

Beautifully Compiled but Heavy
The selection is fantastic, but wow, this book is heavier than I expected! It's not exactly a carry-around kind of read. Still, the content is rich and engaging. If you don’t mind the bulk, it's a worthy addition to any bookshelf.
