Folk Wisdom from Hawaii introduces visitors to island customs and culture, while it affirms and celebrates our interest in local folklore and superstition. We all have credoes we live by, and those of Hawaiis people are delightfully unique. The book gives residents an understanding and appreciation of their ethnic origins, and at the same time it also preserves the folk wisdom of Hawaii for future generations. ANN KONDO CORUM was born in Honolulu and graduated from Punahou School. She has a degree in English from California State University at Long Beach and a Master of Science degree from the University of Southern California. She is also the authorillustrator of 'Ethnic Foods of Hawaii' and 'Easy Cooking the Island Way'.
