The artwork in this book is absolutely stunning! Each page captures the essence of the stories told. I bought it for my daughter, and she loves flipping through the pages just to see the pictures. However, I wish the stories were a bit longer; they're short but sweet.

A Unique Perspective on Growing Up
As a mom of a young girl, I found this book to be a great read. It beautifully captures the challenges and joys of being a brown girl in today's world. The stories are relatable and filled with warmth, making it a perfect gift for my daughter's birthday. Highly recommend it for any parent looking to celebrate their child's identity!

Thoughtful but a bit heavy for kids
I got this book for my niece, and while the stories were insightful, I felt they were a little intense for her age. The themes of self-identity are important, but some parts could be overwhelming. Still, it sparked some good conversations between us, so it’s not a total loss!

Not What I Expected
I was excited to get this book based on the reviews, but it didn't quite work for my daughter. The stories felt a bit too mature for her, and she lost interest quickly. I think it’s more suitable for older kids. Just beware before you purchase!
