Es soll im Folgenden dargestellt werden, wie Julien Sorel, der Protagonist dieses Romans, mit Hilfe der Verstellung seiner Krpersprache und seiner nonverbalen Signale den gesellschaftlichen Aufstieg begehen wollte. Sein Knnen im Kaschieren von Botschaften erlernte er phasig, die ich im dritten Punkt dieser Arbeit nher beleuchten mchte. Das Erlernen der Verstellung werde ich anhand verschiedener Episoden und Stationen in seinem Leben darlegen und erlutern, inwieweit er seine Qualitten immer weiter perfektionieren musste. Je nach Umgebung musste er sein Habitus anpassen und sich den Umstnden entsprechend verhalten. So beleuchte ich zunchst seine erste Station im Hause der Rnals, wo Julien Sorel als Privatlehrer ttig ist. Dort entwickelt sich eine amourse Beziehung zu der Dame des Hauses, Mme de Rnal, die damit endet, dass er in das Priesterseminar zu Besanon berufen wird. In dieser Liaison lernt er die Grundkenntnisse des Sendens von nonverbalen Botschaften und erlernt gleichermaen die Kunst der Verfhrung einer (sozial hher gestellten) Dame der Gesellschaft. [...]
