Dies ist heutzutage wohl kaum anders als vor rund 150 Jahren, als beispielsweise Adolphe QU!TELET (Soziale Physik oder Abhandlung uber die Entwicklung der Fa higkeiten des Menschen, Bd. 2, Jena 1921, S.294 ff.; Original zuerst 1835) ihm damals zugangliche Krimi nalstatistiken auszuwerten begann. QU!TELET ist nicht zuletzt deshalb besonders interessant, weil er zur Erklarung der Kriminalitat von Frauen sich Argumenta tionsmuster bediente, die heutzutage im Rahmen soge nannter feministischer Theoriekonzepte wenn auch in anderer Kombination wiederaufgegriffen werden. Nach QU!TELET haben Frauen wegen ihrer im Vergleich zu Mannern verminderten physischen Kraft von Natur aus geringere "Chancen", bestimmte Delikte zu begehen, und werden zudem bei umfassender gesell schaftlicher und familialer Integration auch sozial an einer Deliktausubung weitgehend gehindert. Und be gehen Frauen Gewaltdelikte gegen Personen, so werden diese nach heutigem Sprachgebrauch als Nahraumde likte identifiziert. Der Anteil von Frauen an der Ge samtzahl der Verurteilten ist jedoch dort besonders hoch, wo "Lebensgewohnheiten" von Mannern und Frauen relativ ahnlich sind, d.h. in den "untern Standen".
