Erstmalig liegt nun sowohl ein Verzeichnis jener Frauen vor, die in Wien Vlkerkunde studierten, als auch eine Dokumentation ihrer wissenschaftlichen Leistungen und Publikationen. Immerhin ein Viertel der Absolventinnen konnte sich einer wissenschaftlichen Karriere widmen und dabei beachtliche Leistungen in der internationalen Forschung und Lehre an verschiedensten Universitten, Museen und Instituten erbringen. About the Author Die Autorin: Barbara Smetschka wurde 1964 in Lembach im Mhlviertel, Obersterreich geboren. Neben ihrem Studium der Ethnologie und Romanistik an der Universitt Wien arbeitet sie im Bereich der internationalen Frauenforschung.
