Mrz 2007. Am internationalen Weltfrauentag wird heftig im Bundestag ber Gleichstellung und Chancengleichheit debattiert. Die Bundestagsabgeordnete Christel Humme (SPD) fordert, den Frauenanteil an der Zahl der Erwerbsttigen zu erhhen. Viele Frauen arbeiten Teilzeit und sind im Niedriglohnsektor beschftigt. Bundestagsvizeprsidentin Gerda Hasselfeldt (SPD) sagt, bedenklich sei, dass in keinem Vorstand der 30 wichtigsten brsennotierten Unternehmen eine Frau ist. Die GrnenVorsitzende Claudia Roth nannte die Lohnunterschiede bei Mnnern und Frauen ?eine richtige Schande.? Und die Bundestagsabgeordnete Ina Lenke (FDP) sieht Frauen im Berufsleben von Chancengleichheit noch meilenweit entfernt. Diese aktuellen Kommentare aus der Politik beschftigen das ganze Land. Offensichtlich sind Frauen im Berufsleben benachteiligt. Das Allgemeine Gleichbehandlungsgesetz (AGG) sieht vor, ?Benachteiligungen aufgrund [?] des Geschlechts [?] zu verhindern oder zu beseitigen.? Trotzdem erfahren Frauen in Bezug auf den beruflichen Kontext nicht die gleiche Behandlung wie Mnner. Frauen sind in Fhrungspositionen weiterhin unterreprsentiert. Welche Barrieren zu berwinden sind und welche Manahmen getroffen werden mssen, um Frauen den Weg in eine Fhrungsposition zu ebnen, ist Mittelpunkt dieser Arbeit. Dabei konzentriere ich mich auf die Privatwirtschaft in Deutschland. Selbststndigen Unternehmerfrauen wird hier keine Bedeutung beigemessen, da diese hufig durch Neugrndungen, Kauf oder Familienbereignung in diese Position gelangt sind.
