Ebenso wie in der internationalen Entwicklungszusammenarbeit spielten Frauen in den Konzeptionen und Manahmen der deutschen Entwicklungspolitik bis in die siebziger Jahre lediglich eine untergeordnete Rolle, auch wenn Frauen am strksten von Armut betroffen sind. Sofern es vor 1975 Projekte gab, die sich gezielt an Frauen richteten, waren diese sozialkaritativ ausgerichtet und orientierten sich an der reproduktiven Rolle von Frauen als Hausfrau und Mutter. Die vorliegende Arbeit zeichnet die Geschichte der Frauenfrderung in der deutschen Entwicklungszusammenarbeit nach.. Dabei werden insbesondere die inhaltlichen Positionen des Bundesministeriums fr Wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (BMZ) analysiert und der konzeptionelle Wandel von "Frauenfrderung" zu "GenderAnsatz" nachvollzogen. Wie Frauenfrderung und GenderAnsatz in einem konkreten Projekt vor Ort umgesetzt werden, wird an einem Fallbeispiel der Gesellschaft fr Technische Zusammenarbeit in Kolumbien dargestellt.
