What makes a camel friends with a Vietnamese pig? Or a wild polar bear pals with a sled dog? In this young preschool book, Catherine Thimmesh makes us wonder at the truth and mystery of unlikely animal friendships. Because the stories behind these friendships are true, not contrived, captured by photographers in many countries ranging from Siberia to Japan, they not only give readers insight into animals but challenge preconceived notions about compatibility. This book also expresses tolerance of differences and makes us look at the kindness of animalsand humansa little differently.

I got this book as a birthday gift for my niece who adores animals. She was delighted and spends hours reading it. The illustrations are gorgeous and the stories are engaging. Definitely a hit with her!

Disappointed by the quality
I expected more from this book. The concepts are lovely, but the binding feels cheap, and a few pages were slightly torn when I received it. I hope it holds together for my kids to enjoy it.

Good stories, but a bit repetitive
The book has some really nice stories about animal friendships, but I felt a few were a bit similar. My kids enjoyed it, but we had to skip a couple of chapters. Overall, it’s a good read for animal lovers.

Heartwarming tales of friendship!
I bought 'True Stories of Extraordinary Animal Friendships' for my daughter, and she can't put it down! The stories are really touching and beautifully illustrated. It’s great for kids who love animals and teaches them about friendship in a fun way.
