He found and pastors churches in Tallahassee and Live Oak, Florida. He was ordained a bishop in the Pentecostal Church of God in Christ of the USA, and is currently founder and CEO of The Threshing Floor Corporation of Florida. He is a frequent workshop and conference speaker. He is married to Detris W. Lumpkin, his sweetheart of 18 years. They have two children, Jarius LiRonn, age 15 and Janna Deon, age 11. He is also a professor and administrator at Florida A&M University School of Architecture. He says, "I grew up on a farm in North Florida and know the value of hard work, discipline, integrity, and obedience to the Word of God," and where he learned the principles discussed in this book.
