Synthesis and characterization of fulvic acids and UVVisible spectroscopic study of uranylVI)fulvate complexation is the result of the authors close to five years research work that was achieved after having spent over fifteen years in research. The research was mainly carried out in France with some parts being conducted in Kenya. Its aim is to give an understanding of fulvic acids through its synthesis, characterization and eventually complexation. During complexation, synthesized and well characterized fulvic acids were complexed with uranyl(VI) at ambient conditions. This was done with the aim of understanding what happens in nature once fulvic acids complexes with uranyl(VI). Dr. Ambrose K. KIPROP was born in Uasin Gishu county, Rift Valley in Kenya. After his secondary studies at Eldoret Harambee Secondary, he joined Moi University for both his B.Sc. and M.Phil. degrees in the years 1998 and 2002 respectively. He won a competitive French Embassy Ph.D. scholarship in the year 2005 for his doctoral studies. He has since 2002 worked with Moi University. He is a prolific researcher whotodate has published several articles and is supervising several Ph.D and masters students.
