I appreciated the stories told in this book, but some parts felt drawn out. While it’s powerful, I wish it had a bit more action to keep my attention throughout. Still, it’s worth picking up if you care about the topic.

Father Greg Boyle's work with gangs is incredible, truly touching. This book gives a deep insight into East LA's struggles and the power of compassion. Definitely a must-read for anyone interested in social justice and community work.

Not what I expected!
I was really looking forward to a more dynamic read, but this book turned out to be a collection of stories that didn't quite connect for me. The message is important, but I found it disappointing overall. I expected more depth.
