The issue of gender, as a language variable, has been the focus of study for many years. Knowing about differences between male and female in language use could help teachers and syllabus designers develop better instructions and learning materials for learners. However, it seems that this crucial variable has not gained much attention in the realm of foreign language research, especially in writing skill.
