Der Geburtenrckgang bei gleichzeitig steigender Lebenserwartung fhrt zu Verschiebungen in der Struktur der Gesellschaft und wirkt sich auf deren soziale und wirtschaftliche Nachhaltigkeit aus. Katalin Velladics untersucht die konomischen Auswirkungen dieser Entwicklung, z.B. Schrumpfung und Alterung des Erwerbspersonenpotentials und Druck auf die sozialen Sicherungssysteme. Ausgehend von der Situation in den 1990er Jahren und mit Methoden der konometrischen Modellierung entwirft sie am Beispiel Deutschlands und Ungarns Szenarien der potentiell verfgbaren Arbeitskrfte bis 2050.
