Product DescriptionIn dieser Abschlussarbeit wird die geschlechtliche Positionierung von Mnnern innerhalb der USSitcom 'Two and a half men' analysiert. Dabei ist von besonderem Interesse, wie MannSein in der populren Serie verstanden und gelebt wird. Die Sitcom bietet sich als Untersuchungsgegenstand in besonderem Mae an, da Mnnlichkeit und das Zusammenleben unter Mnnern immer wieder ganz konkret thematisiert werden. Der Arbeit liegen die theoretischen Annahmen von Raewyn Connell zu Grunde, die davon ausgeht, dass Mnnlichkeit sich immer gegenber der Weiblichkeit und anderen Mnnlichkeiten abgrenzt. Dabei lassen sich verschiedene Handlungsstrategien der hegemonialen, untergeordneten, komplizenhaften und marginalisierten Mnnlichkeit voneinander unterscheiden und definieren. Zunchst wird dieses theoretische Konzept der hegemonialen Mnnlichkeit erlutert, bevor es um moderne Reformulierungsanstze der aktuellen Geschlechterforschung ergnzt wird. Im empirischen Teil der Arbeit werden schlielich drei ausgewhlte Szenen der Serie 'Two and a half men' auf die Interaktionsverhltnisse, sozialen Rollen und aufgearbeiteten Diskurse hin analysiert. Anhand dieser Analyseebenen lassen sich konkrete mnnliche Handlungspraktiken ausmachen. Sie geben Aufschluss darber, auf wie vielfltige Weise Mnnlichkeit in der Serie ausgehandelt wird und welchen gesellschaftlichen Anforderungen sich der moderne amerikanische Mann gegenber sieht.About the AuthorAnke Jaeger wurde 1989 in Mlln geboren. Ihr Studium der Angewandten Kulturwissenschaften an der Leuphana Universitt Lneburg schloss die Autorin im Jahr 2011 mit dem akademischen Grad des Bachelor of Arts erfolgreich ab. Whrend ihres Studiums setzte sich die Autorin in vielfltiger Form mit dem Thema der gesellschaftlichen Konstruktion von Geschlechtlichkeit und geschlechtlichem Verhalten auseinander. Mit ihrer Bachelorarbeit verfolgte Anke Jaeger das Ziel, Geschlechterzuordnungen zu analysieren und anhand aktueller Populrkultur aufzubrechen.
