Wir iibersehen nicht, daB in dem ahistorischen, ver gangenheitsabgewandten Klima der gegenwartigen Psychologie eine Mahnung des Inhalts, daB man in dem Neuen die Fortdauer von Altern erkennen m6ge, an sich noch keinen Widerhall verspricht. Fiihlt man sich progressiv, dann ist man gern allergisch gegeniiber allem, was so aussieht wie eine Reverenz gegeniiber einer fortlebenden Vergangenheit. Die Absicht der Autoren ist jedoch anders zu verstehen: nicht als diistere Mahnung, sondern als freundliche Empfehlung: als ein "Tip", der gerade auch f1ir die ungeduldig Fortschrittlichen interessant sein diirfte: Wenn Denkweisen der alten Gestalttheorie unter ganzlich veranderten Be dingungen wieder neu aufleben, dann lohnt es sich, sie systematisch zu erarbei ten und zu iiberpriifen: man spart Zeit.
