1m zweiten Jabrzehnt dieses Jabrbunderts entwickelte sidl aus der Bekanntschaft Max Wertheimers mit Wolfgang Koh ler und Kurt Koilka die (nach dem Ort des gemeinsamen Sdlaffens Wertheimers und Kohlers benannte) "Berliner Sdlule" der Gestalttheorie, welche den seinerzeit vorberr sdlenden atomistisdlen und assoziationistisdlen Stromungen der Psydlologie eine ganzbeitlidle Betradltungsweise des Menschen entgegensetzte. Wie sidl bald zeigen sollte, kommt eine Psydlologie, weldle den ganzen Mensdlen im Blick bat, nicht an der Frage nadl der Eigenart des Vorganges vorbei, dem der Mensdl sein Mensdlsein verdankt an der Frage nadl seiner Erziebung. Den mittlerweile klassisdlen Arbeiten Wertheimers, Kohlers und Karl Dunckers zum Problem der Einsidlt und des pro~uktiven Denkens folgten dann audl die Arbeiten Kurt Lewins zur sozialpsydlologisdlen Seite der Erziebung und die widltigen Veroffentlichungen Wolfgang Metzgers zu versdliedenen Problemen der Erziebung. Unge adltet dieser und zahlreidler weiterer Arbeiten kann gegen wartig aber von einer systematisdlen Erziebungslebre, wel dle sidl auf gestalttheoretisdle Erkenntnisse griindet, kaum die Rede sein. Der vorliegende Band wird dies en Mangel audl nidlt be heben konnen, er wird ihn aber so ist zu boffen deutlidl madlen und wei teres Forsdlen in dieser Richtung anregen. Wie der Budltitel "Gestalttbeorie und Erziebung" andeuten solI, gebt es nicht um die liickenlose, systematisdle Zusam menstellung und Anordnung alIer padagogisdl bedeutsamen Erkenntnisse und Ergebnisse der Gestalttbeorie (im Sinne einer Gestalttbeorie der Erziebung), sondern um den mebr beispielbaften Aufweis der Querverbindungen zwisdlen pad agogisdlem Denken und den Befunden der Gestalttheorie.
