El presente estudio es un Diagnstico de la situacin hdrica en el Valle ChancayLambayeque en el periodo 1996 al 2004 cuyo objetivo principal es establecer la problemtica del agua. En la investigacin se describe las relaciones que entablan los diferentes actores en el manejo del agua, considerando as que a travs de los Anlisis efectuados utilizando series histricas, registros mensuales y de pagos haciendo una interrelacin entre los volmenes de agua recibidos y facturados se ha llegado a la conclusin de que existen prdidas importantes del recurso hdrico, as como prdidas econmicas en el periodo de estudio. En la Ejecucin de esta Investigacin se emplearon Tcnicas Cientficas, Instrumentos de recoleccin de datos, se realizaron consultas bibliogrficas, as como tambin se analiz la informacin obtenida durante el trabajo de campo. Se concluye que existen Prdidas importantes del Recurso Hdrico, as como Prdidas Econmicas; la falta de Capacitacin a los Usuarios y a los dirigentes en la Gestin de este Recurso.
