Gesundheitswissenschaften und Sozialmedizin u.a. an den Uni versit{ten Bielefeld und Hannover bem}hen sich, diese L}k ken durch den Aufbau von postgraduierten Studieng{ngen ent sprechend dem Masterof Public Health in den U.S.A. und von Forschungsschwerpunkten (Frderungsprogramm des BMFT) zu schlie en. Besondere Aktualit{t haben dieseEntwicklungen durch die deutsche Einigung gewonnen. In diesem Band werden erstmals entsprechende Ans{tze aus Deutschland West und Ost vorgestellt und diskutiert, und zwar sowohl auf den Ebenen des Bundes wie auch der L{nder und Kommunen. Innerhalb der kommunalen Pr{ventionund Berichterstattung sind rtliche Einrichtungen und Betriebe zunehmend alswichtige Aktions felder erkannt worden, daher ist diesem Bereich ein eigener Abschnitt gewidmet.
