Nach siebenjhriger Kerkerhaft wurde er schlielich zum Feuertod verurteilt, mglicherweise mehr wegen Magie als aufgrund philosophischer Themen. Neben der Schule des Stoizismus prgten Bruno seine Verehrung des neuen Kepler'schen Weltbilds. Er schrieb u.a in seiner italienischen Muttersprache: Von der Ursache, dem Prinzip, und dem Einen Vom Unendlichen,dem All und den Welten das Aschermittwochsmahl Die Austrteibung der triumphierenden Bestie Von den herrschenden Leidenschaften. Unschwer ist seine Hinwendung zu naturphilosophischen Themen zu erkennen, die ihn auch zu einem Vertreter des Frhmaterialismus machen.
