He argues that the movements growth andimpact both inside and outside Turkey position both its leader and itsfollowers as indicative of a 'post political' turn in twentyfirstcentury Islamic political identity in general, and as illustrative of Turkeyspolitical, economic, and cultural transformation in particular.
