God has nothing to say to the frivolous man. A. W. TozerTozer states this bluntly in the books beginning, and he carries the sentiment through the last chapter. In God Tells the Man Who Cares, Tozer urges the believer to be vigilant in his pursuit of Gods voice in his life. He reminds us that stillness and meditation on the Spirit of God may be more spiritually profitable than the front of religion that is so prevalent in modern society. Stillness is the quality that is so often lost in the business of todays world. To be still and know that He is God is an old truth that is much quoted but rarely lived.Tozers convicting voice will bring you to a new and humbling place in your relationship with the Lord. He invites you to lay your emotions at Gods feet, provides insight into the true nature of a servants heart, and decries many aspects of institutionalized Christianity, warning against artificial religion with these words: [It] is a disease of the soul, and can only be healed by the Physician of souls.

I thought this would be more of a straightforward guide, but it's more philosophical than practical. Still, there are some gems in here if you're willing to dig deep. Just be ready for a slower pace than anticipated.

Not My Cup of Tea
I wanted to enjoy this book since the topic is interesting, but I found it hard to connect with the author's style. Some chapters felt too long and repetitive for my taste. I think others might appreciate it more than I did, though.

A Thought-Provoking Read
I picked this book up looking for some inspiration, and it truly offers that. The concepts are deep, and the author's perspective really made me reflect on my life. It's a little dense at times, but worth the time to listen and absorb the messages.

Definitely Made Me Think
This book really challenges you to consider how you engage with your faith. I found the author’s insights to be enlightening and they resonated with me on many levels. It's not a quick read, but definitely a worthwhile one if you're searching for deeper understanding.
