Die kologische Krise zeigt, dass unser Umgang mit Natur und Schpfung nicht nur in konkreten Handlungsbereichen, sondern auch in unseren erkenntnis und bewusstseinsmssigen Zugngen zu Natur problematisch ist. Bei der Erarbeitung von Wissenszugngen zu Natur, die nicht allein dem Ntzlichkeits und Verwertungsdenken folgen, ist auch die Theologie gefragt und zwar so, dass sie sich ber erkenntnis und handlungsleitende Orientierungsmuster Gedanken macht. Dieser Untersuchung liegt die These zugrunde, dass eine ganzheitliche Erkenntnis und Erfahrung von Natur ein solches Orientierungsideal darstellt. Anhand der Darstellung des GottMenschWeltVerhltnisses der nordamerikanischen Prozesstheologie und der ostkirchlichorthodoxen Theologie wird gezeigt, welche Denkmodelle ganzheitliche Erkenntnis und Erfahrung von Natur ermglichen und es werden Perspektiven in Hinblick auf eine kologische Ethik aufgezeigt.
