Unter diesen stechen die Entfhrungen der geistlichen Wrdentrger Peter von Aspelt und Friedrich von Montfort besonders hervor. Da diese Zwischenflle jeweils in weit grssere Zusammenhnge gesetzt werden knnen, lassen sich an ihnen verschiedene Muster der mittelalterlichen Konfliktkultur aufzeigen. Ebenfalls wird deutlich, wie vermeintlich regionale Auseinandersetzungen bereits im Mittelalter mit kontinentalpolitischen Entwicklungen vernetzt waren. In diesem Band werden also nicht bloss die Lebensdaten des Grafen Rudolf II. von WerdenbergSargans umschrieben, sondern vielmehr anhand dieses Adeligen und seiner Familie auf verschiedene politische Entwicklungen jener Zeit eingegangen. Es werden sowohl die Familiengeschichte der Grafen von WerdenbergSargans bis ins frhe vierzehnte Jahrhundert, wie auch die mittelalterliche Konfliktkultur im Allgemeinen ausfhrlich behandelt.About the AuthorScott Brand studierte an der Universitt Zrich Allgemeine Geschichte, Europische Volksliteratur und ltere Nordische Philologie. Er verfasste bei seinem erfolgreichen Abschluss eine Lizentiatsarbeit zu Graf Rudolf II. von WerdenbergSargans, die nun in erweiterter Form als Buch herausgegeben wird.
