As a longtime fan of Dickens, I appreciated the illustrations in this abridged version of Great Expectations. However, I felt some parts of the narrative were too simplified. It’s still a great introduction for younger readers or those new to classic literature, but I missed some of the deeper nuances in the original text.

Not What I Expected
Received this book in the mail today and was really disappointed. The cover is vibrant and the illustrations are nice, but there are a lot of important details missing from the story. It feels more like a summary than a true abridged version. If you're looking for the full experience of Great Expectations, I wouldn’t suggest this edition.
