Marschner, Meyerbeer, and Wagner were influenced by Weber's works, as well as latterday composers such as Hindemith, Mahler, Stravinsky, and Debussy, who remarked that the sound of the Weber orchestra derived from the composer's scrutiny of the soul of each instrument.
