Wilhelm Wieprecht stellte ihn in der Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts unter Bercksichtigung der damals vorhandenen und zeitgemen Orchesterbesetzungen zusammen. Die Schlichtheit und Volksnhe der einzelnen Musikstcke sind bis heute unbertroffen. Daher sind auch alle Versuche, den Zyklus durch andere Kompositionen zu verndern, gescheitert. In der Broschre ist die Geschichte dieser beliebten Abendzeremonie dargestellt, und erstmals sind auch die Noten der einzelnen Musikstcke in leicht spielbarer Weise wiedergegeben.
