This book is a collection of short stories about events, people and places of life growing up in rural Iowa spanning several decades of the early and middle Twentieth Century. Most of the stories are real events and memories. A few are fictional accounts, but are based on real people and places. The author's Danish ancestors colored the events of the author's life, but many events were common to all people of the era. The stories relate the experience of intense joys and deep sorrows as well as the every day events of life, weaving the necessary lessons to be learned into the fabric of life in that era.

environmentally friendly printing processes to the development of
