Im ersten Teil will das Buch ein elementares Verstndnis dafr wecken, was Recht ist und was es leistet. M. a. W.: der Leser soll in diesem Teil eine Orientierung ber das Wesen des Rechts erfahren, die es ihm ermglicht, rechtliche Phnomene fr sich und in ihren Zusammenhn gen zu begreifen. Es geht hier also nicht um das heute in der Bundesrepu blik Deutschland geltende Recht, sondern um das Recht als solches, unabhngig vom Hier und Heute. Der zweite Teil soll den in der Bundesrepublik geltenden Rechtsstoff einfach, systematisch und berschaubar darstellen und erlutern. Da eine Vollstndigkeit auch nicht annhernd angestrebt, sondern nur eine allgemeine bersicht vermittelt werden kann, liegt auf der Hand. Auswahl und Orientierungsprinzip ist die besondere Bezogenheit des Rechtsstoffes auf menschliche Bedrfnisse und bedeutsame gesellschaft liche Phnomene. Die Kurzdarstellung wichtiger Rechtsgebiete im zweiten Teil bedarf einer zustzlichen Erluterung zum Verstndnis der Reihenfolge. Die her kmmliche Einteilung des Rechtsstoffes in Privatrecht, ffentliches Recht, Vlkerrecht (vgl. 0.221), die noch zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts unumstlich schien, hat inzwischen Einbrche erfahren, die es verbie ten, sie uneingeschrnkt aufrecht zu erhalten.
