Deutschen Schlerinnen und Schlern wurden in Kernkompetenzen wie Lesen, Schreiben und Rechnen eklatante Defizite bescheinigt. Im internationalen Vergleich landeten Deutschlands Schlerinnen und Schler allenfalls im unteren Mittelfeld. Sie verstehen Texte schlechter als ihre Altersgenossen in fast allen vergleichbaren Lndern. Auch in Mathematik und Naturwissenschaften liegt ihr Knnen unter dem internationalen Durchschnitt. Die Medien berichteten wochenlang ber das desastrse Abschneiden deutscher Schulkinder. Pdagogen, Eltern und Bildungspolitiker blickten erschrocken auf die Ergebnisse der PISAStudie. Ein Skandal ist auch die Kopfnote, welche die Studie uns in der Kategorie Chancengleichheit ausstellte. Unser Schulsystem sei ungerecht, so der Befund von PISA.
