This book examinations the health care crisis of Sub Saharan Africa and the response of traditional and modern medicine. It focuses on problems of diseases and sanitary conditions. It looks carefully at the integrative role of traditional and modern medicine in responding to this crisis. Moreover, it looks at other countries such as China that have used traditional medicine in their health care delivery system. It applies implementation theory in assessing the effectiveness of this integrative strategy in both SubSaharan Africa and China. Recommendations for improving the integrative health care system in Africa emerge from this assessment.
