The book incorporates the synthesis, spectral characterization of Benzyloxybenzaldehydethio semicarbazone (BBTSC) and its analytical applications to the extractive spectrophotometric determination of palladium(II) and copper (II). Another chelating, 3, 4Dihydroxybenzaldehyde isonicotinoylhydrazone (3,4DHBINH) is used for the direct spectrophotometric determination of vanadium (V), chromium (VI), titanium (IV) and palladium (II). These techniques are applied to the analysis of environmental, spiked and alloy samples. Antibacterial activities of the above mentioned transition metal complexes are also evaluated.
