Eine davon ist die Ironie zu whlen. Diese bietet den Vorteil, dass sie vielfltig ist, denn sie kann satirische, polemische, parodistische, groteske, ja sogar plakative Zge annehmen. Die Definitionen von Groteske, Komik, Paradoxon, Parodie oder Satire hier im Einzelnen aufzufhren, wrde den Rahmen dieser Arbeit sprengen. Ich werde dieses Wissen daher voraussetzen. Im Folgenden soll nun gezeigt werden, an welchen Stellen von Heines Harzreise' Ironie eingesetzt wird und welche Funktion sie hat. Des Weiteren wird untersucht, welche Qualitt die Ironie jener Textstellen besitzt, d. h. ob sie satirisch, grotesk, parodistisch, polemisch oder plakativ ist.
