Nach seinem Studium arbeitete er als Dozent in der Erwachsenenbildung. Seit 1997 lebte er aus beruflichen Grnden jeweils mehrere Jahre in Stockholm, Brssel, Oslo und Rom. Zurzeit wohnt er in MecklenburgVorpommern an der Ostsee.
