Tim Hetherington (19702011) was one of the worlds most distinguished and dedicated photojournalists, whose career was tragically cut short when he died in a mortar blast while covering the Libyan Civil War. When I received the book, the cover was slightly damaged, which was disappointing considering the content is so important. I expected a better presentation for such a meaningful subject. The stories are great, but the state it arrived in really hit my experience hard.

While the narratives in this book are powerful and moving, I was expecting more photographs from Hetherington himself. The text is compelling, but I felt a bit let down by the lack of visual representation. Still, it’s an important read for understanding the realities of war.
