Der vermittelten Herrschaft ist der zweite Teil gewidmet. In der zeitlichen Perspektive vom 17. bis zum fruhen 19. Jahrhundert kommen Haupt und Amtmanner, Administratoren sowie Gerichtshalter in den Blick, die im Auftrag von Fursten und Adligen auf Grossgrundbesitz den herrschaftlichen Willen umzusetzen hatten, dabei aber auch ihre eigenen Interessen verfolgten.
