Sie hat die nationalsozialistische ra und den zweiten Weltkrieg sowie die Nachkriegszeit in sterreich erlebt. Aufgewachsen mit elf Geschwistern auf einem Herrenbauernhof in einem kleinen Dorf zog sie zum Studium nach Wien, wo sie die nchsten zwei Jahrzehnte blieb, bevor sie nach ihrer Scheidung die Leitung der Apotheke in einer Kleinstadt im Waldviertel bernahm. Seit ihrer Pensionierung lebt sie dort in ihrem Reihenhaus mit Garten, in dem sie bis heute mit Freude und Hingabe arbeitet. Als Gromutter schreibt Luise Richter, um die Erinnerung in den Dienst der Gegenwart und Zukunft zu stellen.
