Dessen ungeachtet gibt es in Deutschland jedoch zahlreiche mittelstndische Weltmarktfhrer, die sogenannten Hidden Champions (heimliche Gewinner), die, wie der Name bereits andeutet, kaum bekannt sind, aber mit Spitzenleistungen wesentlich zum Erfolg der deutschen Wirtschaft beitragen und in ihren Mrkten eine weltweit fhrende Position eingenommen haben. Diese Arbeit beschftigt sich mit der Frage, was diese kleinen bis mittelgroen Unternehmen so erfolgreich macht. Neben einer anschaulichen Darstellung der Merkmale, Kriterien, Strukturdaten sowie der geographischen Verteilung der heimlichen Weltmarktfhrer werden in erster Linie spezifische Faktoren und Strategien herausgearbeitet und beschrieben, die wesentlich zum Erfolg dieser Vorzeigeunternehmen beitragen. Anhand ausgewhlter, praktischer Beispiele werden die erschlossenen Erfolgsfaktoren im Anschluss belegt. Zum Abschluss wird anhand eines Rankings die Markenperformance der Hidden Champions dargestellt.
