En los pacientes con hiperparatiroidismo renal se observan alteraciones clnicas, analticas y del metabolismo seo. El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar los resultados clnicos, analticos y densitomtricos tras la paratiroidectoma total y autotrasplante en pacientes con hiperparatiroidismo renal. Material y mtodos: Se trata de un estudio retrospectivo en el que se analizan parmetros clnicos as como los niveles sricos de calcio, fsforo, hormona paratiroidea y fosfatasa alcalina y los valores de la densidad mineral sea a nivel femoral y lumbar, en 34 pacientes con hiperparatiroidismo renal antes y despus de la realizacin de una paratiroidectoma total y autotrasplante de glndula paratiroides. Resultados: La paratiroidectoma total con autotrasplante se asocia a una mejora de los parmetros clnicos, analticos y densitomtricos en pacientes con hiperparatiroidismo renal. Conclusiones: La realizacin de una paratiroidectoma total con autotrasplante consituye un tratamiento efectivo en pacientes con hiperparatiroidismo renal.
