Aujourd'hui, je place cet adjectif en pleine lumire et je me l'applique, mais que signifie : tre juif ? A part les Juifs, pour lesquels c'est d'abord une foi et une religion, la premire raction gnrale et spontane des athes se rsume en cette simple remarque : C'est compliqu. Quand on me demande quel est mon travail actuel et que je prononce l'adjectif juif j'entends chaque fois le mme Oh, la, la... souvent prolong d'un commentaire encore plus dcourageant : Oh, la, la... par les temps qui courent!
