Die Analyse des Einflusses des Erdlsektors auf die Wirtschaftsentwicklung besitzt einerseits fr den Untersuchungsverlauf eine wichtige Funktion und soll andererseits aufgrund der groen Bedeutung des Themas dazu dienen, das allgemeine Wissen ber die Bedeutung des Erdlsektors fr wirtschaftliche Entwicklungsprozesse zu erweitern und der aktuellen Diskussion in der Entwicklungskonomie und Wirtschaftsgeschichte zur Verfgung zu stellen. Fr Aserbaidschan spielt die Erdlwirtschaft, deren Herzstck die lwirtschaft in Kombination mit der Gaswirtschaft bildet, eine lebenswichtige Rolle. Seit der Phase der Unabhngigkeit ist dem Erdl abgesehen von seiner unmittelbaren wirtschaftlichen Rolle eine besondere Aufmerksamkeit gewidmet worden, da smtliche Entwicklungsplne mit den Erdleinnahmen des Landes finanziert werden mssen. Das grte Problem der aserbaidschanischen Wirtschaft stellt ein ungleiches Wachstum im Energie und NichtEnergieSektor dar, das in der konomischen Theorie mit dem Begriff Dutch disease" (hollndische Krankheit") bezeichnet wird. Neben der Gefahr der hollndischen Krankheit" ist die Konzentration der auslndischen Investitionen im Kreis Abscheron bzw. in Baku ein Grund dafr, dass in anderen Gebieten kaum Investitionen gettigt worden sind, was die Gefahr einer extrem ungleichen und disparaten Entwicklung heraufbeschwrt. Ziel der Arbeit ist es, das wirtschaftliche Entwicklungspotenzial der Erdlwirtschaft in Aserbaidschan aufzuzeigen. In diesem Zusammenhang ist auch die Frage zu beantworten, welche wirtschaftlichen Vor oder Nachteile die Erdlwirtschaft Aserbaidschan bringt und welche wirtschaftlichen Auswirkungen die Erdlwirtschaft hat. Im Rahmen der Untersuchung wird zuerst die Entwicklungsdynamik in der Erdlwirtschaft historisch analysiert. Zudem ist er fr den Bereich Wirtschaft zustndig und arbeitet seit Februar 2008 an der Botschaft Aserbaidschans.
