Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2001 im Fachbereich Geschichte Asien, Note: sehr gut, Technische Universitt Berlin (Institut fr Geschichtswissenschaften), Veranstaltung: Entstehung von Feindbildern im Konflikt mit Palaestina, 25 Quellen im Literaturverzeichnis, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In meiner Arbeit mchte ich den Versuch unternehmen die Entstehung und Entwicklung einer kollektiven Identitt, die Genese einer WirGruppe, die sich als Palstinenser oder palstinensisches Volk bezeichnen, bzw. von auen als solche benannt werden, nachzuzeichnen. Ich werde die Grundlagen, Faktoren und Mechanismen aufzeigen, die zu der Ausformung einer spezifisch palstinensischen Identitt, in Abgrenzung zu konkurrierenden Identittssystemen, gefhrt hat und darstellen, wie diese mit der Entstehung einer nationalen Identitt korrelierte. Meine These geht davon aus, da sowohl das Selbstverstndnis als Volk der Palstinenser, als auch die darauf aufbauende Vorstellung einer palstinensischen Nation relativ neue 'Erfindungen', bzw. Konstruktionen sind. Diese IdentittsKonstruktionen sind allerdings keine freischwebenden Ideen, sondern sie beruhen auf der gemeinsamen Tradition einer Gruppe von Menschen mit hnlicher Vergangenheit und kollektiver Erinnerung, die jedoch immer in unterschiedlicher Weise interpretiert wurde. Die Bevlkerung auf dem Gebiet des ehemaligen britischen Mandatsgebiets Palstina hat, so meine Argumentation, eine Reihe von Identittsformationen durchlaufen, die jeweils im historischen, sozialen und politischen Kontext oder aber auch in Konkurrenz mit anderen 'befreundeten' oder 'fremden' Identitten standen. In diesem Zusammenhang wird auch die oftmals berinterpretierte Rolle des Zionismus bei der Identittsbildung der Palstinenser zu hinterfragen sein.
