What price Indian education? What kind of education? These were questions that had faced government officials, dedicated teachers and Indians since the late 1800s. When tourist and collectors became interested in Native American art, the questions expanded to include training of Indian artists. The leading school for that became the Institute of American Indian Arts of Santa Fe, New Mexico.
