A Mixed Bag of Insights
This history of Cromwell is well-researched but a bit hard to follow at times. Some sections drag on, which made it tough to stay engaged. Still, it definitely offers a lot of valuable information about the English Commonwealth.

Not What I Expected
I wanted a more straightforward account of Cromwell's actions, but this book is dense with details. The writing can be pretty academic, so I struggled to get through it. It might be better suited for seasoned historians than casual readers.
