Dieses Lehrbuch beschrnkt sich auf jenen Teilbereich der Hochspannungstechnik, der der Theorie und dem Hochspannungslaboratorium zugeordnet werden kann. Es wendet sich somit vorwiegend an Studenten von Universitten und Hochschulen, wird aber auch fr den in der Praxis stehenden Ingenieur eine wertvolle Arbeitshilfe sein. Zunchst werden Kenntnisse ber das elektrische Feld mit einfachen mathematischen Mitteln angeboten und grafische wie auch numerische Methoden beschrieben und in Beispielen erlutert. Im weiteren werden Durchschlagsmechanismen in gasfrmigen, flssigen und festen Stoffen sowie die Erzeugung und Messung hoher Spannungen behandelt. Die Hochspannungsprfung unter Laborbedingungen und ein Kapitel ber berspannungen und Wanderwellen beschlieen das Buch.
