The story had some great moments, but I felt it dragged a bit in the middle. The magic system is intriguing, though! I’m curious to see where the author takes the plot in book two.

Great characters but flat ending
I was really invested in the characters throughout the book, but the ending felt kind of rushed to me. I wish there had been more closure. Still, I’d read the next book to see how it all continues!
