Hooper is a little cloud who lives over a farm called Rockinghorn. He loves to watch the children and the animals play and grow. He is very happy in his home! Then one day, a strong wind comes and sends Hooper off on a global adventure. At first he is frightened; he has never been so far from home! But as he travels, he learns both the world and himself and discovers some amazing things. Join this brave traveler as he crosses the Atlantic Ocean, comes facetoface with a school of whales, rescues a troubled boat, sees the dunes of Northern Africa, helps a village in need, climbs the Himalayan Mountains, and visits the Great Wall of China! Through adventure, challenge, and service, Hooper soon learns what he truly made of. Like Hooper, students on an Outward Bound Wilderness course leave their comfort zones to challenge themselves and serve others. It is for this reason that 100 percent of the proceeds from this book will be donated to the Hooper Adventure Fund for Outward Bound, a scholarship for kids who are driven to get up, get out, and discover themselves and the world around them but need a little help getting started.
