Anschlieend folgt eine genauere Betrachtung und Interpretation der Ode IV, 7, von der Professor A.E. Housman in einer Vorlesung im Mai 1914 in Cambridge sagte: 'That, I regard as the most beautiful poem in ancient literature'. So soll die Beschftigung mit dieser regina delle odi oraziane'2, wie die Ode IV, 7 von A. La Penna gepriesen wird, den Schwerpunkt in dieser Arbeit bilden. Abschlieend soll noch ein Vergleich der beiden Frhlingsgedichte I, 4 und IV, 7 vorgenommen werden. Dies soll exemplarisch an einzelnen Textausschnitten geschehen. Besonders interessant hierbei wird die Beobachtung der Entwicklung horazischen Dichtens sein, da ja zwischen der Entstehung der frheren Ode I, 4, die auf das Jahr 23 v.Chr. datiert ist, und der spteren Ode IV, 7, im Jahre 13 v.Chr. entstanden, immerhin zehn Jahre liegen, und Horaz nur fnf Jahre nach Verffentlichung des vierten Odenbuchs, zu dem ihn Augustus gedrngt hat, starb.
