I had high hopes based on reviews, but I found the storyline a bit predictable. Gamache is an engaging character, but the plot twists didn't surprise me. It was still a decent read, but I prefer a bit more suspense in my mysteries. I guess not every book can be a hit!

This book really picked up after a few chapters. Initially, I found the pacing a bit slow, but once the plot started unfolding, I was hooked. Gamache's character depth is impressive, and the ending tied everything nicely. Worth the read for mystery lovers!
